Laptop Ram Slot Not Working

You may check if the ram is recognized slot online in the bios. But the laptop still shows it has 4gb ram only.

RAM upgradation of HP laptop in Ameerpet, Hyderabad. Hp

I try put there 2 different ddr3 (original samsung and kingston).

Laptop ram slot not working. But, if i put a ram in the first slot, the computer boots perfectly. Still it doesn't detect the 8gb stick. Ughhh, so both slots are perfectly fine.

Setting the rampage tweak mode 1 in the dram timing control did not help. I swapped the modules, and the new ram is functioning perfectly. But, usually, it works after the second time.

My laptop has 2 ram slots, slot1 and slot2. If you are facing a lot of resistance, stop. I think that it's either.

When i have ram plugged into slot1, the same thing happens. Upon trying to insert the new ram, however, we noticed that one side of it would not go all the way in. Laptop ram slot not working.

I attempted putting the working ram slot online into the other slot but did not get success. Make sure your laptop are clean (ram slot , and other slots). Both of them working fine in the first slot.

The new ram is 2400 mhz ddr4 8gb just like the ram that laptop came with. If one of the slots fails you’ll have to replace the whole motherboard or use the laptop with only one working slot. The memory slot is permanently soldered on the motherboard.

The b1 memory slot does not work. I upgrade one 4gb ram + my old one 2 gb ram i installed but after how ever worked i don’t know.oneday all worked but after now not support now showing launch reprair or starting normaly both of i do after also not working stuck. Some things to remember when installing laptop ram:

Not working separate in second one, and not working together with the first slot. Once i boot it up, the computer won't boot. If the ram is not showing in the bios as well, this issue might be hardware related since the ram slot 2 is not recognizing any slot online of the two 2gb ram.

First slot separate working fine! Hi guys, i bought asus r558uq last day (4gb ddr4 2133mhz) which supports upto 12gb ram. Thanks for viewing this page.

Thankfully, when i plug the ram into slot2, the laptop works perfectly fine. Today i bought another 4gb module with same specifications and after inserting to slot1, it did not get detected. One of each type ram in first two slots = fine any time any ram stick is in the 3rd or 4th slot (even if i'm not using the first 2 slots) = can't boot let me know if i'm just being stubborn, but i figure if the two different types of ram can coexist peacefully in the first two slots, that it isn't a ram compatibility issue.

However, the ram in slot1 is not getting detected. Apparently, there is nothing wrong with the memory modules and the laptop has a faulty memory slot b. Ram should not be difficult to snap into the socket.

It seems as though my bank 1 memory slot is not recognizing any ram i put in it. Hey guys, just finished the build, set the loop, and bam. The second ram stick was loose because the part where the pins are weren't pushed in all the way in the slot.

In fact, if any piece of ram is placed into slot 2, the computer is unable to establish a connection with the monitor. After that the hdd indicator started blinking, and the other two indicators turned on. When i finished the replacement, i turned slot online on my laptop, but the screen stayed black, no dell logo or anything, no signs of booting at all (all the indicators were off).

At first i thought it was the ram upgrade, but that proved not to be the case due to the fact that the 2nd stick of ram works just fine in slot 1, and the original ram that came with the pc does not work if placed in slot 2. When i have no ram plugged into the laptop and turn on the laptop, the power goes on, the fan spins, but the screens don't show anything. My laptop came installed with a 4gb ram in slot2.

It's probably not the mobo's problem, because if i try to turn on the pc without ram, it makes the continuous beep sound indicating the mobo is working properly. Sorry for the inconvenience caused, i understand that the ram installed in the ram slot 2 is not recognized. When i place both ram sticks (2x 2gb ddr2 corsair) in the two available slots of the motherboard.

1 slot of ram suddenly not working & overheating. Second ram slot is not working! The other slot has been free.

I am using the trident z 3200 mhz, 32 gb, 4 set. I tried to install 8gb ram instead of 4gb. It was yesterday when i found out that my laptop is missing 4gb of ram out of 8gb (4gbx2).

When the ram is settled into the slot, push down on the outer edge of the ram card until it clicks and is flush with the rest of the laptop chassis. May be old ram can't be support with new ram for work. How i can solved this problem please help me

So i checked both ram cards, and switched their places, confirmed both are working, and confirmed that 1 of the 2 slots ain't working no more. It took me a long while to figure out because it seems like i also got a faulty set where only 2 pieces work. I again changed the ram and put it in another slot.

We then tried the original ram that laptop came with in the slot for we were trying to put the new ram in, and the original ram would not fit either. Remove your old ram and work with your new ram for slot 1 and slot 2 (buy the same new ram) and check whether the system is work or not. But not working in the second one.

I have lenovo z560 4gb ram two slot i means 2 gb + 2 gb.
